For those who want to live on the edge, this room's for you! This is where you'll find my more - experimental projects. I acknowledge that AI stirs up some pretty strong feelings in folks. When things were first hitting the mainstream, I decided that I wanted to learn more about it rather than be frightened by it. That sent me down an AI Filmmaking rabbit hole and now I'm obsessed with the endless possibilities that these tools represent.
Contrary to the general belief, AI is not a silver bullet. It does not create for you. The Artist is definitely still in control. As much as you can be when dealing with a recalcitrant child. Sure, it'll get better, but that's the best analogy I can think of when trying to bring my visions to life with these tools.
The learning curve was a whole lot steeper than I imagined going it, but I'm making progress. It took 81 hours to create a video that is 1 minute and 26 seconds. See? No silver bullets here.
